Each entertainment lasts between 45 minutes and 1 hour and can be tailored to suit audiences ranging from children, WI groups, Historical Societies and Music Clubs. They are well researched and of a high musical standard but presented in a relaxed and amusing manner.

600 years in the music business or “He who pays the piper calls the tune”

From medieval times until the nineteenth century, most towns and cities in Britain maintained a band of waits. Originally their duties were principally as night watchmen, but gradually they evolved into highly skilled professional musicians. This programme follows that development from the 11th century bard Widsith to the Municipal Corporations Act of 1835.
